AMHERST, Mass. - The UMass men's soccer team will open an exciting weekend at Rudd Field on Saturday when it plays host to Providence in an exhibition contest. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. and admission is free.

On Sunday, the UMass women's squad welcomes No. 6 UCLA to the Pioneer Valley for the Minutewomen's regular-season opener. That also begins at 1 p.m. with free admission.

Men's head coach Sam Koch has 12 returnees and 15 freshman on his 2012 team. The Minutemen will officially open their season at home against Delaware on Friday at 1 p.m.
