AMHERST, Mass. - On February 20, it was announced that Stu Amick had been selected as a member of the U.S. Under-20 Men's National Team. This past weekend, Amick competed as a defender for the U-20 Team which went on to win both games and the New Orleans Tournament.

On Saturday, the U-20 team faced Honduras where they drew to a tie at 0-0. The team defeated Honduras on penalty kicks to win 4-2. Amick played for 25 minutes in the game against Honduras.

On Sunday, the U-20 team faced Victoria, a club team from Honduras. The U.S team defeated the club team 3-2, behind three different scorers. With the win, combined with Saturday's penalty kick victory over Honduras, the U.S. picked up a tournament win in New Orleans. Amick played for a total of 45 minutes in the win.

The U.S. U-20 squad will regroup in April, when it heads to Portugal for the Campos Verdes International Tournament.

At UMass, Amick finished the 2007 season with five goals and two assists for 12 points - third best on the team. Two of his goals were game-winners. In the NCAA Tournament, he scored goals against Boston University in the first round and against Illinois-Chicago in the Elite Eight. He also had an assist in the third round game against Central Connecticut State. For the year, he started 19-of-25 games played.
