SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse offense lived up to it's billing, outshooting UMass 15-5 en route to a 3-0 win at the SU Soccer Stadium Wednesday.

UMass (0-8-1) was held scoreless for the seventh time this season. The Minutemen put two shots on goal with Cody Sitton in the 68th minute and a header by Josh Jess ten minutes later forcing Orange goalkeeper Alex Bono to make his only saves of the contest.

Nick Ruiz had four saves for UMass.

Syracuse (6-2) got goals from Nick Perea on a header in the 37th minute, Stefanos Stamoulacatos in the 43rd and Juuso Pasanen on another header in the 48th.

The Minutemen will return home Saturday where they will play just their third match of the season at Rudd Field. The weekend contest with Siena is set to start at at 1:00 p.m. and admission is free.
