HANOVER, N.H. - Josh Schwartz scored his first career goal for the Minutemen, but it was not enough as Dartmouth defeated the UMass men's soccer team 2-1 thanks to a pair of late goals. UMass will return to action next Saturday when the Minutemen host Bradley at Rudd Field.

With the loss, UMass falls to 1-8-0 overall, while Dartmouth improves to 2-3-2 on the season.

After a deadlocked first half, Schwartz put UMass up 1-0 just five minutes into the second half. The freshman midfielder placed a shot on frame that deflected past Big Green keeper Noah Cohen (2 saves).

Dartmouth responded with the equalizer at the 66:01 mark when Lucky Mkosana tallied his fourth goal of the season. The Big Green took the lead in the 75th minute when Kevin Dzierawski scored the game-winner.

UMass was able to earn a corner kick in the 82nd minute, but could not convert the chance to force overtime.

The Big Green held a 12-to-5 shot advantage for the game and a 9-to-8 edge in corner kicks.

Shane Curran-Hays made six saves in goal taking the loss.
