CARRABASSETT VALLEY, ME - The University of Massachusetts women's ski team placed third out of 18 teams, while the men tied for fourth out of 19 teams at the USCSA Nationals held over the past four days on Sugarloaf Mountain in Carrabassett, Maine. Individually, each team also had a first team all-american selection.

On the men's side, freshman Rush Hawkins (Shelburne, Mass.) placed second out of 86 competitors in the Giant Slalom with a two-run time of 2:08.31. He was named first team All-America selection in the Giant Slalom.
