Men's Ski Team Places Fifth In Giant Slalom At USCSA Nationals

Truckee, Calif. - The University of Massachusetts men's ski team finished fifth in the giant slalom event at the USCSA National Championship Wednesday, March. 6.
Junior captain Beau Gibson (Oakland, Md.) led the way for the Minutemen, finishing fifth. Graduate student Nick Kulkarni (Troy, Mich.) registered a 16th place time, while Jay Robbins (Pittsfield, Mass.) and David Pomeroy (Winthrop, Mass.) placed 47th and 48th, respectively.
The giant slalom was the first event in which the Minutemen competed at this year's nationals. They will ski again in their final event, the slalom, today. The women's squad won the national championship with their victory in the giant slalom and third place finish in the slalom.
