AMHERST, Mass. - A number of former UMass men's lacrosse standouts donned Major League Lacrosse uniforms during the 2014 MLL season, which reached its conclusion on Saturday, Aug. 23. Read about how Minutemen alumni performed below:

Will Manny (2010-13) finished his second professional season with 52 points on 32 goals and 20 assists over 14 games played for the Boston Cannons. Manny had at least four points in eight contests, including six of the final seven games. He finished the season tied for fifth in Major League Lacrosse for points, tied for sixth in goals and eighth in assists. Manny was also named the assistant coach for Wagner College men's lacrosse in late July a few weeks after he signed a sponsorship deal with STX.

Kevin Leveille (2000-03) notched 31 points through 23 goals and eight assists over 13 games played, including the playoffs, to help the Rochester Rattlers reach the MLL Championship Game. Leveille's most clutch performance of the season came during the MLL semifinals, when the 2003 graduate of UMass recorded six goals in as many shots attempted to spearhead a Rochester comeback win over Ohio. Through 10 seasons competing in MLL, Leveille owns 357 points in the regular season on 275 goals and 82 assists in 114 games. In five postseason games played, Leveille has netted 14 goals and four groundballs. Simultaneous to his MLL competition, Leveille starred on attack for Team USA at the 2014 FIL World Championship.

Tim Soudan was named the 2014 MLL Coach of the Year as he led the Rochester Rattlers to the MLL Championship Game after the squad earned a league-best 10-4 record during the regular season. Soudan took over as head coach of the Rattlers in June 2011 and previously played for Rochester from 2001-03. After starting the 2014 campaign with a 3-2 mark, Soudan coached the squad to six wins in its finals seven regular season games to take the No. 1 seed in the MLL playoffs. After defeating Ohio, 15-11 in the semfinals, Rochester fell to Denver, 12-11 in the championship game.

Jake Smith (2010-13) made six appearances for the Charlotte Hounds during their inaugural season. Playing on close defense, Smith collected seven groundballs for the squad. 2014 marked Smith's second year in MLL after he was a part of Boston's roster in 2013.

Jack Reid (2003-06) played alongside Manny with the Boston Cannons as Reid made five appearances on close defense during 2014. A veteran with nine years of experience in MLL, Reid owns 157 career groundballs over 92 games played. Reid competed for the New York Lizards in 2013 after he spent the 2009-12 seasons with Boston. Off of the field, Reid was part of a season-long fundraising effort for the St. Baldrick's Foundation, which raised more than $100,000 towards the fight against childhood cancer.
