BALTIMORE - UMass men's lacrosse alum Kevin Leveille earned a spot at the United States National Team tryout event set to by hosted by Goucher College in Baltimore, Md., from Aug. 30-Sept. 1. Leveille is a 2003 graduate of the University of Massachusetts and currently stands 13th in program history with 168 career points on 106 goals and 64 assists.

A pool of 98 professional and collegiate players are set to try out for the U.S. National Team. Those chosen for the squad will attempt to defend Team USA's Federation of International Lacrosse World Championship at the 2014 edition of the event, set to occur from July 10-19 in Denver, Colo.

Leveille is in his first season with Major League Lacrosse's Rochester Rattlers, owns 22 points over 10 games played on the year and holds the MLL record for longest goal scoring streak at 58 consecutive contests. In eight professional seasons overall, Leveille has recorded 317 points on 246 goals and 69 assists through 95 career games.

At UMass, Leveille was a three-time USILA All-American (2001-03) and helped the Minutemen to 43 victories during his four-year career to go with a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances.
