BOSTON, Mass. - Major League Lacrosse (MLL), the premier professional outdoor lacrosse league, has announced those players who have been selected to play in the seventh annual Major League Lacrosse All-Star Game, according to MLL Commissioner David Gross. This year's event will take place on Thursday, July 17, 2008 at 8:00 PM MT at Denver's INVESCO Field at Mile High. The All-Stars were selected by the League's head coaches, general managers and players.

Long Island Lizards Midfielder Chris Fiore has been named to the Eastern Conference All-Star team. The Freeport, NY native will be playing in his third All-Star game. While playing for the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, he was the ECAC Player of the Year his senior season. Fiore was selected third overall by the Boston Cannons in the 2003 MLL Collegiate Draft.

Fiore was traded to Long Island in exchange for the fourth overall pick in the Collegiate Draft before the 2007 season. He struggled with a shoulder injury that season, only scoring 9 goals and 3 assists (12pts). This season however, Fiore is healthy and playing in top form, he is fourth on the Lizards in scoring with 15 goals (1 2pt) and 1 assist.

Attackman Kevin Leveille of the Chicago Machine has been selected to play on the Western Conference Squad. Leveille hails from Delmar, New York. During his senior season and at the University of Massachusetts, Leveille was named ECAC Preseason Player of the Year and All-American, having 34 goals and 17 assists for 51 points. Kevin was also one of sixteen finalists for the Tewaaraton Trophy, awarded to the top collegiate lacrosse player. Leveille ended his UMass career with 159 points, ranking 11th on UMass's all-time scoring list.

This will be Leveille's fourth consecutive season named as an MLL All-Star. He currently ranks third in the League with points scored (28), and second in the league in goals (23). He leads his team in several categories including goals, points, power-play goals, shots, and shots-on-goal.
