AMHERST, Mass. - Three UMass senior lacrosse players will play in the USILA/LaxWorld North-South All-Star Game on Friday night at Goucher College in Towson, Md., as part of the NCAA Championship Weekend. Midfielder Ryan Hantverk, long-pole defensive midfielder Casey Rahn and defenseman Travis Tripucka will all be playing in the game that faces off on Friday at 5:30 p.m.

Hantverk was a 2011 team captain as he ran with the first midfield for the second year in a row. He was fourth on the team with 17 goals and fourth in total points with 26. He had points in all 14 games this season, only player on team with such a streak. He had four multi-goal games in 2011.

Rahn also served as a 2011 team captain as a starting long-stick defensive midfielder. He played in all 14 games as a senior, contributing to solid defense with 8.37 GAA. He had three groundballs and a caused turnover.

Tripucka was a fourth-year defenseman, contributing on various defensive schemes including man-down defense as a senior. He played in all 14 games with one start, contributing to solid defense with 8.37 GAA. Has 10 groundballs and two caused turnovers. Tripucka has been the starting long snapper on UMass football team, will play his senior season with the Minutemen in the fall.
