Two Minutemen Picked For 2014 USILA North-South All-Star Game

AMHERST, Mass. - Two members of the 2014 University of Massachusetts men's lacrosse program in close defenseman James Fahey and midfielder Connor Mooney will participate in the USILA North-South All-Star Game, as announced by the organization on Tuesday afternoon.
The 2014 Division I/II USILA North-South All-Star Game will be played at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Md., on Monday, May 26 at 10 a.m. The Division I/II North Team will be led by Brown University head coach by Lars Tiffany, while Brad Jorgensen of Saint Leo University men's lacrosse will guide the Division I/II South Team.
Fahey led the UMass defense with 31 groundballs and 20 caused turnovers as a senior in 2014. He finished his career with 53 groundballs and 28 caused turnovers over 39 appearances, including 15 starts.
Mooney provided 38 points through 18 goals and 20 assists as a member of the first line midfield during 2014. He is a NEILA All-New England Second Team and All-CAA Second Team honoree in addition to being a USILA Scholar All-American and NEILA Senior Scholar-Athlete.
Fahey and Mooney will be the 91st and 92nd Minutemen to participate in the event overall and 39th and 40th during head coach Greg Cannella's 20 seasons leading Massachusetts men's lacrosse.
