FAIRFIELD, Conn. - The UMass men's lacrosse team captured its 22nd New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Championship on Tuesday. UMass shares the crown with Harvard as the Minutemen posted a 10-5 overall record and reached the CAA Championship Game. UMass last won the New England title in 2006. This is UMass sixth title since 2001. The champion is decided by a coaches poll.

4. Hartford
5. Fairfield
6. Brown
7. Quinnipiac
8. Bryant

UMass has won the NEILA title in 1963, 1969, 1974, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979, 1981, 1984, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1993, 1997, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006 and 2011.
