AMHERST, Mass. -
For the third time this season, a pair of UMass lacrosse players earned weekly honors from the ECAC. Junior attacker Tim Balise was named the ECAC Co-Offensive Player of the Week after scoring seven goals in two games. Freshman attacker Zach Rodgers was named the league's Co-Rookie of the Week after posting five points in two games.

ECAC Co-Offensive Players of the Week
Tim Balise, Massachusetts
Junior, Attack, Wilbraham, Mass.
The ECAC's leading goal scorer, Balise scored seven goals in UMass' two games on the week. He had five, all in the fourth quarter, as UMass rallied against Fairfield on Tuesday, but suffered a 10-9 loss to the Stags. Balise then scored twice at No. 1 Syracuse on Saturday. He leads the ECAC with 32 goals. It was his third honor of the year.
Jamie Kirk, Hobart
Senior, Attack, Orangeville, Ont.
Kirk led Hobart to a pair of victories last week with five goals and three assists. At Canisius, he produced a game-high four points on two goals and two assists, as the Statesmen beat the Golden Griffins, 10-3. On Saturday against No. 15 Loyola, he recorded a game-high four points, this time netting his first career hat trick to go with an assist in a 10-6 win. Kirk leads Hobart with 24 assists and 38 points this season.
Defensive Player of the Week
Max Silberlicht, Hobart
Sophomore, Goaltender, New Hartford, N.Y.
Silberlicht earned a pair of wins last week, producing an impressive 4.10 GAA and a .784 save percentage. At Canisius, he made 11 stops, while allowing just two goals in 57 minutes of work. Against No. 15 Loyola, he matched his career-high with 18 saves (6 GA) in 59 minutes of action. For the season, Silberlicht boasts a 7-5 record with a 7.44 GAA and a .612 save percentage.
Co-Rookies of the Week
Ricky Mirabito, Georgetown
Sophomore, Attack, Binghamton, N.Y.
Mirabito scored three goals, helping to lead the Hoyas to a 13-7 win over Rutgers. He is fourth on the team in scoring with 15 goals and five assists for 20 points. Mirabito has three games this season with at least three goals and four games with at least three points.
Zach Rodgers, Massachusetts
Freshman, Attack, Baldwin Harbor, N.Y.
Rodgers had five points in two games. He registered his first career hat trick against Fairfield to go along with an assist for four points. He also added an assist at No. 1 Syracuse on Saturday. He has been Rookie of the Week three times.
