Jeff Zywicki Tabbed as ECAC Offensive Player of the Week
April 12, 2005
Redshirt senior Jeff Zywicki (Napean, Ontario) was named the ECAC Ridell Offensive Player of the Week after his four-goal performance in the Minutemen's 14-6 victory over St. John's on Saturday, April 9.
Zywicki posted at least three goals for the 10th time in his career, and extended his goal-scoring streak to ten games, dating back to February 28, 2004 against North Carolina. Zywicki injured his back in that game and was forced to sit out the remainder of the season.
His return this season has made the same impact Zywicki had in the 2003 season, when he tallied 41 goals and 21 assists to lead the Minutemen to the NCAA quarterfinals.
Zywicki is tied for first on the team with 22 goals, which ranks him 12th in the nation in goals scored.
The Minutemen, who rank 10th in nation in scoring offense with 11.11 goals per game, travel to Hobart for key ECAC match up on Saturday, April 16.
