AMHERST, Mass. - UMass men's lacrosse received two additional preseason top-25 rankings on Monday, with the releases of the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) and Nike/Inside Lacrosse Media polls. USILA placed the Minutemen 12th nationally while the Nike/Inside Lacrosse listing ranked UMass 13th entering 2013.

The Minutemen wrapped up last season as the No. 10 squad nationally in the Inside Lacrosse poll after reaching the No. 1 overall spot during the 2012 campaign. Earlier in the current preseason, UMass received a pair of top-25 placements for the upcoming season, earning No. 9 from Inside Lacrosse's coaches polling and No. 12 in the organization's Face-Off Yearbook rankings.

UMass opens its 2013 slate with a contest in Amherst, Mass., on Garber Field against Army at Noon on Saturday, Feb. 9. Tickets for all home men's lacrosse games are available through the UMass Ticket Office at 866-UMASS-TIX (862-7784).
