Inside Lacrosse Media Poll | USILA Coaches Poll

AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts men's lacrosse program begins its 2014 season receiving votes in the Inside Lacrosse Media Poll and United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Coaches Poll, as both listings were revealed on Monday.

The Minutemen ended last year with their fourth appearance in the CAA Tournament in as many seasons competing in the league, bowing out to tournament host and No. 9 nationally-ranked Penn State in the semifinal round. UMass finished the year with a 7-8 overall record, which included three victories over top-20 programs.

Men's lacrosse begins the 2014 regular season - head coach Greg Cannella's 20th as the program leader - at Army in West Point, N.Y., on Saturday, Feb. 9 at Noon. UMass hosts Harvard for its first home game on Saturday, Feb. 22 at 1 p.m., after participating in the Moe's Southwest Grill Classic against Ohio State at EverBank Field in Jacksonville, Fla., on Sunday, Feb. 16.
