AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2009: Team's primary short stick midfielder. Key on the faceoff wing. Started all 15 games on wing. Leads team with 47 groundballs and is fourth on team with 15 caused turnovers. Three assists on transition goals. Had 29 groundballs in seven games from March 14-Apr. 25. Set up a goal and had two groundballs in NCAA First Round at Princeton (5/10). Great defense with four groundballs at Fairfield (4/25). Tied career-high with five groundballs at Hobart (4/11). His shot rebounded to Jim Connolly's for OT game-winner. Assisted a fastbreak Tim Balise goal and had two groundballs in win over St. John's (4/4). Four groundballs and assist vs. Penn State (3/28). Tremendous defense with five groundballs and two caused turnover in holding Loyola (3/21) to just six goals in win. Had a goal and assist on offensive side. Scooped career-best four groundballs vs. Fairfield (4/22). Assisted first college goal at #5 Georgetown (4/19). Scored first career goal on a fast break with 1:19 left in regulation to start comeback OT win over Hobart (4/12). Won first two college face-offs vs. Loyola (3/22). Made college debut against Hofstra (2/23), had two groundballs and caused a turnover.
