• Senior defensive midfielder, playing with short stick for second season in a row after being a close defenseman in first two seasons at UMass.

• Played in eight games in 2011 vs. Delaware (4/29), vs. #8 Hofstra (4/23), vs. Drexel (4/16), at Towson (4/9), at Saint Joseph's (4/2), at Providence (3/15), at Harvard (3/29).

AS A JUNIOR IN 2010:
• Played in 12 games in 2010. Made transition from long-pole to short-stick defensive midfielder.
• Part of UMass revamped man-down defense and had three groundballs.
• Saw first action with short stick vs. Providence (3/16) and had a groundball.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2009:
• Hulking sophomore defenseman played in nine games, seeing time on man down unit.
• Played in NCAA First Round at Princeton (5/10).
• Played at Albany (3/10) and vs. #18 Brown (3/14).
• Was assessed a one minute penalty vs. Yale (2/28).
• Season-opener vs. Sacred Heart (2/14) was his first game since Loyola game of freshman year (3/22) when he suffered a knee injury.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2008: Hulking reserve freshman defenseman played in four games recording three groundballs ... Suffered knee injury against Loyola (3/22) ... Recorded a groundball vs. Albany (3/11) ... Tallied two groundballs and had a caused turnover vs. Harvard (3/8) ... Made debut as a man-down defender at Yale (3/2).

BEFORE UMASS: Attended Blue Ridge School in St. George, Va...Was named All-State three years in a row for men's lacrosse...Named All CAC junior and senior year in lacrosse...Also a member of football team for three years...Named Team MVP sophomore and junior year for football...Captain of football team for four years and captain of lacrosse for two years...During the summer of 2007, played in the U.S. Lacrosse Senior Showcase in Denver, Colorado.
