Smith In Major League Lacrosse: Was selected in the fourth round (30th overall) by Boston in the 2013 Collegiate Draft, joining classmate Will Manny (2nd round - 14th overall) with Cannons.

UMass Career: Became one of the most athletically and academically lauded players in program history following a senior season that earned his USILA All-America, NEILA First Team All-New England and All-CAA First Team laurels ... Also took in USILA Scholar All-America, CAA Spring Scholar-Athlete, NEILA Senior Scholar-Athlete, UMass Spring Scholar-Athlete and UMass Senior Scholar-Athlete awards in 2013 for his academic success at the University of Massachusetts ... Was also named a USILA All-American on defense as a junior in 2012 to go with CAA All-Tournament Team honors ... Was the active Minuteman leader in caused turnovers (54) and owned the most career groundballs among defenseman (79) upon graduation.
