    ON FEDERICO: An explosive dodger from the midfield ... a very hard worker ... incredibly strong for his small stature, as he is the team's top squatter (along with Christian Haggerty) ... has a great shot on the run ... came up huge when presented opportunities despite limited time as a sophomore ... most notably scored the game-tying goal late in NCAA First Round game at Cornell, setting the stage for a game-winning goal ... has really improved his confidence ... great accuracy with his shot ... Cannella calls him "balls of fire."

    AS A SENIOR IN 2008: (As of May 6)
    • Only senior on the offensive side of the ball, playing on second midfield. Had five goals and one assist on 37 shots in 2008. Had two man-up goals.
    • Third-career multi-goal game at #5 Georgetown (4/19) with a goal and assist.
    • Netted a man-up goal on only shot at St. John's (4/5).
    • Scored the final goal of win at Penn State (3/29).
    • Tallied the game-winning goal against Albany (3/11) on a man-up goal in fourth quarter.
    • Scored an important goal in season-opening win over Hofstra (2/23).
    • In 2007, played on third midfield, appearing in 13 games.
    • In 2006, ran on second midfield at times in addition to third line. Nine goals on 22 shots (40.9 percent).

    AS A JUNIOR IN 2007: Junior played on third midfield, appearing in 13 games ... After not scoring in first nine games, tallied first goal at Hobart (4/14), on 11th shot of the season

    AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2006: Ran on second midfield at times in addition to third line duties ... scored nine goals on 22 shots (40.9 percent) ... had five goals in seven games in limited duty from April 15-May 13 ... scored game-tying goal with 3:46 left in regulation of NCAA First Round win at Cornell (5/13), shot was his first of game ... netted a goal for the fourth time in five games vs. Rutgers (5/6) ... scored second goal for UMass at Syracuse (4/29) ... Tallied first-career assist at Georgetown (4/22) ... netted two goals for second time in career vs. Hobart (4/15) including first-career game-winning goal ... ripped fourth goal of the year vs. Loyola (3/25) in second quarter ... posted first multi-goal game vs. Sacred Heart (3/21) with two second-half tallies in 9-0 run ... scored second-career goal and first of year vs. Albany (3/14).

    AS A FRESHMAN IN 2005: Reserve midfielder who played in five games... scored first collegiate goal and picked up two groundballs in the win over St. John's (4/9)... scooped up two groundballs vs. Penn State (4/2).

    BEFORE UMASS: A four-year letterwinner for coach Jim Wygonik... notched 53 points his senior season (30 g, 23 a)... finished career with 72 goals and 60 assists... lead team to conference championship in 2004... recognized to the all-conference and all-state team his senior year... was a Connecticut Super Junior and a Peak 200 All Star... a four-year letterwinner on the football squad... led the team to a state championship in 2004 as the most improved player... also lettered two years in basketball ... teammate of current Minuteman Sean Krygier in high school.
