• Earned spot on NEILA Scholar-Athlete Team with 3.0 GPA.
• Ran on the first midfield line after returning from a foot injury that caused him to miss five games.
• All nine of his points came in the final six games of the season..
• Had an assist in final game at Hopkins (5/21) in NCAA Quarters.
• Netted a goal in the NCAA First Round win over Syracuse (5/15).
• Tallied an assist in his fourth straight game at Rutgers (5/7).
• Posted a goal and an assist for the third straight game against Syracuse (4/30).
• Netted a goal and handed out an assist in the win at Harvard (4/26).
• Tallied first goal and assist of the season in the win over rival Georgetown (4/23).
• Returned to the starting lineup in the midfield, taking a shot and picking up two groundballs vs. St. John's (4/9).
• Returned to action after missing five games against Penn State (4/2).
• Scooped up two groundballs and took four shots vs. Yale (3/12).
• Brother Jimmy coming to UMass in 2006, while father played at UMass and coached him in high school.

ON CONNOLLY: A tough player with a great attitude, who is nicknamed "Tank"... shoots extremely well left-handed especially from the outside... will be used in extra man and regular offense... anticipated to score 20-plus goals... continues a family legacy of lacrosse players at UMass, as his father was a Minutman and his younger brother has signed as a member of the class of 2009.

AS A JUNIOR IN 2004... Appeared in all 14 games, registering 18 points (14g, 4a)... second on the team with shots (73)... third in man-up goals (4)... fifth on the team in goals scored... scored at least one point in 13 of 14 games... scored more than one goal on four occassions... buried a man-up goal against Georgetown (4/22)... notched two goals on five shots on goal at Yale (4/17)... found the back of the cage twice and dished out an assist against Brown (3/20)... scored two goals and snagged two groundballs in a win vs. Sacred Heart (3/23)... scooped a season-high three groundballs against Harvard (3/13)... fired a season-high eight shots and tallied two goals in a win over Stony Brook (3/6)... handed out an assist to go along with a groundball against Hartford (3/2)... notched a goal in the season-opener vs. North Carolina (2/28).

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2003... Connolly had a solid year for the Minutemen in his second season... appeared in all 16 games recording 11 points (10 g, 1a)... scored his first career hat trick in win over Brown (3/15) and scored seven goals in a three-game span from March 15 to March 21... added two goals against Albany (3/18) and Hartford (3/21)... fired a career-best nine shots against Hartford (3/21)... scored one goal against Sacred Heart (2/22), Harvard (4/16), and Syracuse (4/26)... dished out first career assist against Navy (3/8)... scooped up three groundballs against Yale (4/12).

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2002... Saw action in 11 games... scored first career goal against Harvard (4/17) for lone point of the season... scooped up a groundball in the Minutemen's 17-4 win over Fairfield (5/11) in the first round of the NCAA Tournament... attempted eight shots.

BEFORE UMASS... Played for his father and former UMass player, Stephen Connolly, at North Andover... scored 301 points for his career on 208 goals and 93 assists... tallied 96 points on 68 goals and 28 assists as a senior captain... member of the Top Gun All-Stars 1999-2001... three-time first team All-League... two-time All Scholastic... All-America selection... two-time recipient of team MVP award.

Ryan Thomas Connolly... son of Stephen and Linda Connolly... father played lacrosse at UMass and was a captain of the undefeated 1969 team... born March 22, 1982... younger brother Jimmy will join the Minutemen in 2006, becoming the third Connolly to sport the Maroon and White... majoring in history.
