AS A FRESHMAN IN 2003:
Appeared in all 16 games for the Minutemen, and was part of a defense that ranked in the nation's top 20 in scoring defense, despite playing an uptempo style... tallied five shots on the season... scored a career-best three assists in win over Hofstra (3/23)... tallied first career goal in victory over Yale, then netted a big goal in the fourth quarter of a key 11-8 win over Georgetown... dished out single assists against Brown and Penn State... his seven points were the most for a defenseman in 2003, and one off Matt McFarland's team-leading eight in 2002... scooped up nine ground balls against Albany, the third most for a UMass player in 2003... picked up seven ground balls off the face-off wing against Maryland in the NCAA Quarterfinals... had four ground balls against Hofstra and Penn State... picked up three ground balls against Yale and Harvard... scooped up at least one ground ball in 10 straight games, and 13 of the last 14.

BEFORE UMASS:
Played for four years under Joe Corace at Mahopac High School... scored 15 points (4 g, 11 a) as a defenseman during his senior year and tallied 20 career points (5 g, 15 a)... was a team captain during his senior season... played in the North-South game as well as the Empire State Games... was named an All-American in section I.
