For the second straight game, former UMass All-American netminder Jon Quick will start in goal for the L.A. Kings on Tuesday night at the Columbus Blue Jackets. Quick has played in two games for the Kings this season with a 4.68 goals-against-average, an .860 save percentage and an 0-1-0 record.

In 2007-08, Quick played in three games with the Kings with a 3.83 GAA and a .855 save percentage. He has spent time with the Kings' AHL affiliate Manchester over the last two years.

The game will be televised live on Fox Sports West and Fox Sports Ohio. Fans can also watch the game live on the Internet at Below is a clip from the Kings Dec. 22 notebook previewing the Columbus game:

Coach Terry Murray said rookie Jonathan Quick will start in goal for the Kings Tuesday night when the Kings finish up their three-game road trip against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

"Coming in and (starting) his first game against the Detroit Red Wings in Detroit is a very nerve-wracking thing," Murray said. "I thought he handled it well with pretty good composure."

Although his Goals Against Average (4.68) does not reflect Quick's play, Murray said he likes what Quick brings to the game.

"It will be a good test for him tomorrow in Columbus," Murray said.
