AMHERST, Mass. - The UMass Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will hold its annual Toy Drive to benefit the Shriners Hospital For Children in Springfield beginning this Saturday and running throughout November.

The committee will be accepting new, unwrapped toys for children through age 18 inside the Mullins Center entrances during three hockey games and one men's basketball games.

Fans who wish to donate a toy, but may not be able to attend one of the games, can still do so by visiting the Academic Services Office in 251 Boyden Gym.

UMass student-athletes and the community have contributed hundreds of toys over the past several years to help the Shriners Hospital during the Holiday Seasons. It is asked that the toys be latex and foam free for allergy purposes. Some of the most popular gifts have been those that are interactive, light up or make noise.

Drop off stations will be at the following games:
Nov. 9 - Hockey vs. New Hampshire
Nov. 14 - Hockey vs. Boston College
Nov. 17 - Men's Basketball vs. Youngstown State
Nov. 22 - Hockey vs. Vermont
