AMHERST, Mass. - The UMass hockey team has announced game times for the upcoming 2013-14 season. All home games are currently slated for 7 p.m. starts with the exception of Nov. 14 vs. Boston College (7:30 p.m.), Jan. 31 vs. Boston University (7:30 p.m.) and Feb. 8 vs. UMass Lowell (6 p.m.). The time for the Jan. 12 exhibition vs. the U.S. Under-18 Team will be announced at a later date.

The season opener at Boston University will be a 7:30 p.m. puck drop, as will the Nov. 8 contest at New Hampshire. The Minutemen's Oct. 25 game at Maine will be at 8 p.m., while the squad's Sunday trip to Vermont on Nov. 24 will start at 4 p.m.

UMass' first Hockey East meetings with Notre Dame on Dec. 6-7 will begin at 7:35 p.m. and 7:05 p.m., respectively, in South Bend, Ind.

The following weekend, the Minutemen will play a pair of matinees at Colgate on Dec. 14 (4 p.m.) and Dec. 15 (2 p.m.).

The field for the UConn Hockey Classic has been announced with UMass set to face Quinnipiac in the first round of the tournament on Dec. 29 at 4 p.m. The following day, the Minutemen will play either Sacred Heart or Connecticut with the consolation and championship games slated for 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.

As a reminder, the dates of two UMass games have been changed since the schedule was first announced. The Minutemen will host Boston College on Thursday, Nov. 14, instead of Saturday, Nov. 16. Also, the dates of UMass' home-and-home with Providence have been flipped. The Minutemen will now play the final game of the regular season at the Mullins Center against the Friars on Saturday, Feb. 22, after traveling to Providence on Friday, Feb. 21.
