Graduated senior Kelly Sickavish (North Vancouver, British Columbia) and sophomores Jeff Lang (Westwood, Mass.) and Peter Trovato (North Attleboro, Mass.) were named to the Hockey East All-Academic Team released by the conference today.

Celebrating another successful season in the classroom, Hockey East is pleased to identify 40 student-athletes who have excelled off the ice as well as on it. League officials instituted the All-Academic Team in 1989. To qualify for the team, an individual must achieve a grade point average of at least 3.0 in each of the two academic periods during which he was actively competing.

Sickavish graduated with a degree in sport management with a GPA of 3.100. He played in 15 games last year for the Minutemen, recording one assist, while being a team captain for the Minutemen.

Lang, a management major, sports a 3.375 GPA. Lang was one of the most improved players in Hockey East last season, scoring 12 points (3 g, 9 a). It marks the second straight year that Lang has been named to the team.

Trovato, a journalism major, had the team's highest GPA at 3.471, and earned a spot on the league's academic honor squad for the second straight year. Trovato has appeared in every game in two seasons for the Minutemen and scored nine points (5 g, 4 a) last season as a sophomore.
