AMHERST, Mass. - Riley McDougall, a 5-11, 190-pound forward from Calgary, Alberta, is the latest addition to UMass hockey's freshman class for 2014-15, head coach John Micheletto announced on Thursday. McDougall most recently was a member of the Calgary Mustangs of the Alberta Junior Hockey League.

"Riley's pace, compete and hockey sense will certainly continue to add to our forward corps in the future," said Micheletto.

In 58 games with the Mustangs in his final year of junior hockey, McDougall led the squad with 30 goals and 61 points, respectively, including six power-play tallies. He registered 31 assists on the year and finished the season eighth in the AJHL in goals and 12th in points.

In 150 career AJHL games, also seeing time with the Okotoks Oilers (2009-11) and the Calgary Canucks (2011-12), McDougall logged 103 points on 48 goals and 55 assists. He played for the Trail Smoke Eaters of the BCHL, as well, in 2011-12 and 2012-13.
