April 25, 2014
AMHERST, Mass. - UMass hockey head coach John Micheletto has announced the signing of 6-3, 200-pound goaltender Henry Dill to a National Letter of Intent. Dill is the eighth member of the Minutemen's Class of 2018 and is the second to sign this spring.
"We are excited to have Henry be a part of our goaltending mix," said Micheletto. "The Aberdeen Wings did not lose a regulation regular season game while Henry was in net from mid-January on and he was twice named the Player of the Week in the North American Hockey League."
Dill spent the 2013-14 season as a member of the Aberdeen Wings of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) and posted a 2.26 goals-against average and a .926 save percentage over 29 games with a record of 20-7-1. He went 13-2-0-1 in the final 16 regular season games he appeared in, registering a 1.75 GAA and a save percentage of .941 over those contests. Dill was selected as one of the NAHL Stars of the Week on two occasions, Feb. 18 and March 3.
He attended the USA Hockey Select 17 Festival and was named to the NHL Central Scouting's North American Ones to Watch list in 2013. A native of Columbus, Ohio, Dill is the son of Eric and Barbara.
