The Huskies quickly got back in the game 1:14 later while skating on the power play. With P.J. Fenton (Longmeadow, Mass) in the box for hooking, Jason Guerriero made it 1-1 at 5:17, his goal assisted by Jared Mudryk and Mike Morris.
Northeastern closed out the period with a shorthander to make it 2-1. While UMass was afforded a late power play for obstruction interference on NU, Morris caught Winer high for his second point of the night and the go-ahead goal at 19:28.
