2003-04: Vitek had a solid junior season, and was one of three players to play in all 37 games last season... Finished the season sixth on the team with 12 points (6 g, 6 a)... Recorded 59 shots on goal and 10 penalties for 20 minutes... Led the team with a +13 plus / minus ratio... Netted two multi-point games on the season... The first came against St. Lawrence (1 g, 1 a), which included first career shorthanded goal... Dished out two assists against New Hampshire in the Hockey East Semifinals (March 19)... Scored the game-winning goal in 6-3 season-opening win over Connecticut... Had single goals against Providence (Nov. 1), Merrimack (Jan. 31), New Hampshire (Feb. 7) and UMass Lowell (March 11)... Goal against UMass Lowell came in the Hockey East Quarterfinals after Lowell had taken a 1-0 lead to tie the contest at 1-1... BEFORE UMASS: Played two seasons for Dave Torrie with the Chatham Jr. Maroons of the Ontario Western Junior B... Captured the league title both seasons... Named a league All-Star in 2000... Had 19 goals and 39 assists for 58 points in 2000-01... Earned honor of Most Dedicated player in 1999-2000... Rookie of the Year for the Junior "C" Dresden Junior Kings in 1999...
