Toffey appeared in 20 games for the Minutemen after sitting out the 2002-03 season after transferring from Ohio State... Scored six points (2 g, 4 a), while recording 32 shots on goal and eight penalties for 16 minutes... Tallied points in his first two career games, dishing out an assist against Holy Cross and then two assists against Providence (Nov. 1)... Netted first UMass goal, the game-winner, in 3-2 win over Providence (Nov. 15)... Netted points in both games of the Sheraton / Banknorth Classic. Potted a power-play goal against Dartmouth and then dished out an assist against Vermont (Dec. 28).

BEFORE UMASS: Played for one year at Ohio State University... Scored five points (2 g, 3 a) as a freshman... Was drafted by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft... Played prep hockey at St. Sebastian's... Earned ISL All-League honors and was the MVP of the 2001 New England Prep Tournament... As a senior, he scored 46 points (22 g, 24 a) and tallied 111 points (60 g, 51 a) in his four years...
