BEFORE UMASS: Played for two seasons at the University of Maine... Played in 32 career games with the Black Bears, recording nine points (2 g, 7 a)... Tallied an assist in loss to Massachusetts in the Hockey East Quarterfinals (3/6/03)... Scored his first collegiate goal in 8-4 win over Merrimack and also dished out an assist for first multi-point game (11/16/01)... Tallied second career goal against Merrimack (2/9/02)... A product of the Eastern Junior Hockey League (EJHL), Lynch was an assistant captain for EJHL Coach of the Year Andy Heinze's Valley Junior Warriors... In 21 regular season games he tallied seven points (3-4-7) and led Valley with 143 penalty minutes... An EJHL All-Star Team selection in 2000... 2000 recipient of Hockey Night in Boston (HNIB) summer tournament Top Defenseman Award... Prior to playing for the Junior Warriors, Lynch tallied a 46-point (21-25-46) season for Brooks Academy in 1999... A 2001 fifth round draft pick of the Tampa Bay Lightning, 138th overall.
