Assistant Director, Strength & Conditioning

George Greene was named Assistant Director of UMass Strength & Conditioning in December 2010 and enters his fourth season working with the hockey program. Greene rejoined the athletic department staff after serving as an intern during the 2008-09 season.

Greene returned to UMass after spending the previous 18 months as a Sports Performance Director for Athletic Republic, where he served as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. During this time Greene designed and implemented programs for multiple sports including collegiate and professional ice hockey players.

Greene interned at UMass from 2008-09, when he assisted in training multiple teams in the department. Prior to his time at UMass, Greene served in a similar role at the University of Iowa.

A 2008 graduate of Springfield College, Greene played running back for the Pride. He is certified through the NSCA, ISSA, USAW, and is CPR AED certified through the American Red Cross.
