BEFORE UMASS: Played for the Collingwood Blues of the Ontario Provincial Jr. A Hockey League... Was assistant captain and recorded five goals and 21 assists in 51 games in his final season of junior hockey...Won the team's Scholar Athlete award in 1996-97 and Top Defenseman honors in 1997-98.
