UMass Announces Football Signing Class Of 2010

UMass football coach Kevin Morris has announced the signing of 11 future Minuteman football players to National Letters of Intent. These 11 incoming freshmen join the six mid-year transfers and will be eligible to play this fall for the 2010 season. The class of 17 players is one of the tops in the nation. UMass Mourns Loss Of Former Football Coach Bob Pickett

Former UMass football head coach Bob Pickett passed away on Tuesday night in Florida. Pickett was 75 years old and is survived by his wife Sylvia and children Robbin, Debbie and Judith. Pickett served as head coach of the Minutemen from 1978-83, winning four Yankee Conference Championships. He went on to serve as an Associate Athletic Director at UMass until retiring in 1997. Ducasse Set For Action In Saturday's Senior Bowl

CAA Football will be represented in this weekend's College Football All-Star game Saturday, Jan. 30, when UMass' Vladimir Ducasse, takes part in the Under Armour Senior Bowl.
