AMHERST, Mass. - Tim Brandt, Jonathan Hernandez and Perry McIntyre were each honored by the College Football Performance Awards following their individual efforts in UMass football's 28-7 win at Richmond last Saturday. Brandt and McIntyre were key in the Minutemen's defensive and special teams' efforts, while Hernandez keyed a 21-point first quarter that set the tone for UMass.

Hernandez tied his career-high with three touchdowns in the game and posted his fourth 100-yard game of the season (10th overall). He finished the day with 103 yards on 23 carries.

McIntyre, also the CAA Defensive Player of the Week, led the Minutemen with 11 tackles including 3.5 for loss. Overall, the defensive unit allowed just one yard rushing for the Spiders and forced six turnovers.

Brandt posted a career-high nine tackles and had a career-high three sacks from his linebacker position. Seven of his tackles were solo stops.
