LIVE BLOG: No. 17 UMass at Kansas State
Sept. 5, 2009
4:40 p.m.: WELCOME BACK IN 2009! It is a pleasure to be here at Snyder Family Stadium for the season opener for the UMass Minutemen and Kansas State Wildcats. The Minutemen arrived in Kansas last night around 5 p.m. CT after taking a charter flight out of Westover Air Force Base in Chicopee, Mass. The team few on the NHL San Jose Sharks' charter plane. It was an enjoyable flight with most of the players sleeping for the majority of time. Here in Manahattan, known as the Little Apple, its about 78 degrees and the tailgaters are all around. The atmosphere is great as this is the return of coaching legend Bill Snyder, who led K-State to national prominence in the 1990s and early 2000s. Below is our new blog tool that we are going to use this season. It's very cool and allows you to ask questions that we will answer during the game.
