Dudley-Giles Named To CFPA Punt Returner Trophy Watch List

AMEHRST, Mass. - University of Massachusetts football rising-junior Trey Dudley-Giles was selected to the College Football Performance Awards (CFPA) Punt Return Trophy Watch List, as announced by the organization on Friday. Dudley-Giles was one of only 40 NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) returners chosen.
In two seasons of competition with the Minutemen, Dudley-Giles has fielded 26 punts for 259 yards (10.0 yards per return). A dynamic performer on the field, the Dade City, Fla., native has also brought back 32 kickoffs for 717 yards (22.4 ypr) and has 85 career tackles, seven passes defended and two fumbles recovered as a member of the UMass secondary.
"Congratulations to Trey Dudley-Giles on earning a spot on this year's watch list," CFPA Executive Director Brad Smith said. "With continued improvement in 2014, Dudley-Giles will be among the top contenders for this year's award."
The CFPA enters its seventh season of awards recognition and the player and team performance rankings honor the nation's elite in offense, defense and special teams.
