Start Times, Television Announced For 2013 Football Campaign

AMHERST, Mass. - The Mid-American Conference announced the ESPN schedule for the upcoming season with the UMass football program adding two more televised games to the broadcast schedule. Additionally, kick-off times for home games against Vanderbilt, Miami (OH), Western Michigan, and Akron as well as all road games have been announced.

The home opener against Maine will be televised on ESPN3 with a 2 PM kick-off. The Minutemen will also appear on the ESPN syndication package on Nov. 2 against Northern Illinois at Gillette Stadium starting at Noon. The season-finale at Ohio on Friday, Nov. 29 will be part of an ESPN Flex Package for the league. ESPN will determine two games from that day's league schedule to place on ESPNU/ESPN3.

Earlier this month, it was announced that UMass' season-opener at Wisconsin will be televised nationally on the Big Ten Network with a Noon (EST) kick-off.

In addition to the television schedule, UMass announced start times for four other home games at Gillette. The Minutemen will host Vanderbilt at Noon, Miami (OH) at 3 PM for Band Day, Western Michigan at 3 PM for Homecoming, and Akron at 1 PM for Senior Day.

For road games, Kansas State had previously announced a 7 PM (EST) kick time for the Minutemen's trip to Manhattan on Sept. 14. UMass and Bowling Green on Oct. 5 will kick-off at 3:30 PM, while the Oct. 19 game at Buffalo will begin at 3:30 PM. The start time at Central Michigan on Nov. 23 is set for 1 PM.
