AMHERST, Mass. - Three UMass football standouts were recognized by Phil Steele's 2013 College Football Preview with Preseason All-Mid-American Conference honors. Tight end Rob Blanchflower led the trio with a spot on the offensive third team. Lineman Anthony Dima and punter Colter Johnson were selected to the fourth team on offense and special teams, respectively.

Blanchflower enters his senior year with 82 career receptions for 851 yards and six touchdowns. As a junior in 2012, the Leominster, Mass., native was a frequent target for quarterbacks Mike Wegzyn and A.J. Doyle, hauling in 43 passes for 464 yards and a pair of TDs in 10 games played.

Dima opens 2013 as a two-year starter on the UMass offensive line, including nine appearances as a junior. The 6-foot-7 native of Centereach, N.Y., helped the offense average 360 yards per game in 2011 and paved the way for recent NFL draftee Michael Cox during UMass' first season competing as an FBS program in 2012.

Johnson, an All-MAC Third Team performer in 2012, launched 64 punts for an average of 43.8 yards per attempt last season. The Warren Area (Pa.) High School graduate earned MAC Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in helping UMass to its first victory as an FBS program, averaging 44.8 yards per punt at Akron on Nov. 10, 2012, with four downed inside the 20 yard line and a pair going for more than 50 yards each during the 22-14 win.

The Minutemen open the 2013 season at Wisconsin on Aug. 31 before hosting the University of Maine at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass., for the squad's home opener on Sept. 7. Ticket information for the 2013 campaign is available through 866-UMASS-TIX (862-7784) or
