Minutemen To Face Wisconsin On The Big Ten Network

AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts football team will open the 2013 season on national television through the Big Ten Network when it travels to Wisconsin for a Noon ET game on Saturday, Aug. 31. The contest marks the second consecutive year the Minutemen appear on the Big Ten Network following the UMass-Michigan game on Sept. 15, 2012.
UMass fans will also be able to catch radio broadcasts of the contest on 105.5 FM WEEI and 1440 AM WVEI. The game marks the second of the upcoming season tabbed for a television broadcast, joined by the Friday, Nov. 29, contest at Ohio to air on ESPNU and ESPN3.
The UMass-Wisconsin match-up is one of five to be shown on the BTN between a Mid-American Conference institution and a Big Ten competitor, and marks the first of three scheduled for Aug. 31. Central Michigan plays at Michigan and Northern Illinois heads to Iowa for Aug. 31 contests on the BTN as well. Eastern Michigan's game at Penn State on Sept. 7 and Akron's Sept. 14 contest at Michigan will also be shown on the Big Ten Network.
