AMHERST, Mass. - A former UMass football player is at New York Jets minicamp on a tryout basis this weekend. Tight end Brad Listorti is being given a look by the NFL team. Listorti went undrafted last weekend. He was a preseason All-American in 2007.

Listorti is wearing No. 48.

Note, it was previously reported that former Minuteman David Thompson was also on a tryout with the Jets, but it is an offensive lineman of the same name, David Thompson, who played at East Central University in Oklahoma.

Listorti was mired by back injury all season in 2007, played just one game, making one catch for the final touchdown of the season for UMass in the NCAA Quarterfinals at Southern Illinois. Heading into the 2007 season, was a preseason All-American by Street & Smith's and a preseason All-Conference selection. He was a third-team All-Atlantic selection in 2006 as he was third on the team with 38 catches for 604 yards, which was second-best on the team in yards. Averaged 15.9 per catch -- that ranked second on the team.

Listorti and Thompson is joined in camp by former UMass star James Ihedigbo, who was on the team's injured reserve all of 2007.
