AMHERST, Mass. - The UMass football team is taking part in "Get In The Game and Save A Life" in seeking possible bone marrow registrants to be entered into the national database. The football players will be in the UMass Campus Center on Wednesday, March 24, seeking students and staff to be registered. The players will be wearing their game jerseys from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., on the second floor of the building.

The event is being held to get as many names entered for the national bone marrow match program. Last year 250 people were registered and added to the database. Coach Kevin Morris is hoping to double that number to 500 on Wednesday.

This is a nationwide initiative that UMass football has been involved with the last two years.
