AMHERST, Mass. - The UMass football team will hold its annual Pro Day on Monday, March 4 at the Dana Farber Field House at Gillette Stadium beginning at 11 AM. Many NFL scouts as well as representatives from CFL teams will be on hand to check out UMass' top senior talent.

Over the past several seasons, UMass has produced several NFL players including Super Bowl Champions Victor Cruz of the New York Giants and James Ihedigbo of the Baltimore Ravens. Additionally, the Minutemen currently have seven former players signed with NFL franchises: Vladimir Ducasse (New York Jets), John Griffin (New York Jets), Travis Tripucka (New York Jets), Emil Igwenagu (Philadelphia Eagles), Josh Samuda (Miami Dolphins), Jeremy Cain (Jacksonville Jaguars), Jeromy Miles (Cincinnati Bengals).

UMass' Pro Day will come on the heels of the NFL Combine where offensive lineman Stephane Milhim had a strong showing last weekend. Fellow lineman Nick Speller also competed in the postseason as he played in the East-West Shrine Game. Other top prospects for UMass include safety Darren Thellen, linebacker Perry McIntyre, running back Mike Cox, defensive tackle Hafis Williams and wide receiver Deion Walker among several other strong senior players.
