Zardas Scores TD In Texas Vs. Nation Game
Feb. 11, 2010
EL PASO, Texas - UMass fullback Chris Zardas had an impressive showing in the Texas vs. The Nation All-Star Game last weekend. Zardas hauled in two receptions including a 6-yard touchdown for The Nation in a 36-17 loss. Zardas' stock as a potential NFL fullback continues to improve.
He also rushed the ball for four yards. He had 13 yards on his two catches, tied for second-most on the team.
According to CBS Sports' Chad Reuter, NFLDraftScout.com Senior Analyst: "UMass fullback Chris Zardas looked much more comfortable as a receiver than East Carolina running back Dominique Lindsey. Zardas is flexible enough to look back for the ball and secure it before heading upfield. He doesn't have great size as a lead blocker but can position himself well."
