  • UMass committed four turnovers (1 INT, 3 Fumbles) in Saturday's game marking the fifth time this season UMass has had three or more turnovers. In the last two games, UMass has 10 give aways and two take-aways. Over the previous four games, UMass gave the ball away just twice compared to 11 take-aways.

  • Senior tailback Jonathan Hernandez cracked the 1,000-yard barrier for the season. He totaled 91 yards on 31 carries giving him 1,045 yards for the season. He also had 1 touchdown for his 12th of the season and the 29th of his career. He is the 10th player to rush for 1,000 yards since 1948.

  • Senior wide receiver Julian Talley also reached the 2,000-yard mark of his career passing Victor Cruz (5th) and Brandon London (4th) all-time at UMass. Talley had 107 yards on six catches giving him 2,033 yards for his career.

  • Talley also extended his reception streak to 28-consecutive games and went over 100-yards for a game for the sixth time in his career (4th time in 2011).

  • Senior lineback Shane Viveiros returned an interception for a touchdown in the third quarter marking his second career INT. It also marked the third interception returned for a touchdown by UMass this season.

  • Sophomore Raymond Pendagast made his first career start at quarterback for UMass going 19-of-31 for 237 yards and one touchdown. He had a long of 51 yards.

  • Perry McIntyre had a career-high 15 tackles on the day. It marked his fifth double-digit tackle performance of the season.
     

     

  • Tyler Holmes also posted double-digit tackles in the game with 11 giving him 347 for his career which ranks 5th all-time in program history.

  • The 144 yards gained by Pushaun Brown on the ground marked a season high for an opponent against UMass.
