Head Coach Charley Molnar
Opening Statement...
"The toughness and hard work that our guys displayed, the resiliency they show each and everyday even throughout the game, they need validation, they need a win for all their hard work. It didn't come this afternoon. I'm greatly disappointed. As tough and as hard as we played, we didn't always play smart. That's my job as a head coach, to get our guys to play smarter, and continue to get them to play hard and improve."

"They believed they would be in the game. It wasn't a surprise to them. They had it right in their grasp and let it slip through. It could be inexperience, a mental error or a physical mismatch. Regardless where there's a will there is a way."

On transition to MAC play...
"We're always optimistic about our football team. This league is a perfect fit for our team. At the end of the day we are 0-2 in the mid American conference. I feel like if you give us the ball on offense with a chance to win the game in the fourth quarter, we'll do it. I feel like I let us down and we didn't get it done."

On big plays by Wegzyn...
"Couldn't make it three weeks ago and couldn't make it in practice. All of a sudden the light came on. We've all been in his ear very loudly and he's stepped up."

On Walker and Williams...
"With Walker, he's gotten better and better each game since Indiana. He feels like he can catch anything in the ball park. He's caught everything within his body. Alan Williams really stepped up. He made a critical error going in for the score but that doesn't tarnish his performance. He played really, really hard."

On postgame conversation with Ohio Head Coach Frank Solich...
He said something I really like to hear. He said your team is really tough. We are trying to build a tough team. He didn't have to say that but the last two weeks I have heard that.

Redshirt -senior defensive back Darren Thellen
On teams progression ...
"We have no choice but to put everything together. Week by week we have been showing signs of improvement, but now just have to put it all together. A loss is never acceptable. We don't like losing. We have to put everything together and come out with a win next week."

On Blankenship ...
"He ran hard. He's a good player. He ran hard which made him harder to tackle. But we missed some tackles, which ended up hurting us in the end."

Redshirt-senior wide receiver Alan Williams
On offensive rhythm ...
"I think it was pretty easy when we got in a rhythm. The o-line did a great job picking up the blitzes and Mike did a great job finding all the open receivers. We're getting better every game."

On Wegzyn's toughness
"We know how tough he is. We know he's not scarred to put his head down and take a hit. He did a great job coming out of the pocket and picking up those extra yards by lowering his shoulder to take the hit."

Graduate student wide receiver Deion Walker
On last drive ...
"We knew - we felt as a team we were going to win that game."

Redshirt-freshman quarterback Mike Wegzyn
On the offense...
"Over the last few games we have progressed a lot. We have meshed as an offense a lot more. I know that if I put the ball in the air that one of these guys is going to go u and get it. We have a lot of faith in each other right now on offense."

On teams progression...
"We took another big step as an offense and as a team as a whole. I think it shows the potential we have. We keep taking bigger steps each and every week. So now next week we hopefully get that W."

On last drive...
"We practice it, but it is not the same as in the game, actually running the two-minute drill, with all the pressure on the offense. It will definitely going to help us moving forward. If we need to do that again we have it under our belt moving forward."

On his physical play...
When I'm running the ball, I'm not afraid to put my should down and get the first. When I can get a hit on somebody, I'm not going to shy away.
