  • The Minutemen ended a seven-game losing streak, dating to 2008. UMass' last win on the road was at Rhode Island (49-0) on Nov. 1, 2008. UMass did not win a game on the road last season.

  • UMass is now 3-0 all-time vs. the Seawolves, winning 48-7 in 2006 and 44-17 in 2009.

  • John Griffin gained 132 rushing yards, his first game at UMass with more than 100 rushing yards. He also scored a touchdown for the third time on four games with four total scores.

  • Jonathan Hernadez had two touchdowns, his fifth-career multi-touchdown game. Hernandez leads UMass with six touchdowns, with scores in all four games.

  • Tyler Holmes had his third interception of the season, which leads the team. All three have come on tipped balls.

  • Caleb Violette made two field goals in a game for the first time in his career. He is a perfect 4-of-4 this season and 5-of-6 overall in his career.

  • Dan Sheeran had a career-high six catches and a second-most in yards with 74.

  • Julian Talley had at least five catches for the third game in a row and now has 19 for the year.

  • Anthony Nelson has at least five catches in every game this season with six in the game at Stony Brook. He leads UMass with 25 receptions.

  • UMass had 442 yards of total offense and has at least 438 in every game this year.

  • UMass has at least 23 first down in every game including that amount at Stony Brook.
