Kevin Morris on the offense :
"We threw and caught the ball better. Some days, you'll accentuate different aspects. We look for a balance between running and passing, and we got that tonight."
Morris on the defense:
"To come out with that kind of intensity on defense two games in a row, you can't ask for much more. We also got great pressure from our front four. We're relying on that."
Morris on the game:
"You want to get that first win on the board, and the guys did a good job in the second half putting the game away. Obviously, we had more throws and catches than we did last week, but it's going to keep coming."
Morris on facing his mentor Coach Bob Ford:
"Coach Ford is a legend in the game. He got me into coaching. He offered me my first position. He's a guy I respect to no end.''
Albany Coach Bob Ford on Morris:
"Kevin was a fierce, fierce competitor when he coached for us. A brilliant young kid, a Williams graduate, very intelligent. I used to bust him about what the hell he was doing in this business when he could have gone down to Wall Street and made a lot of money, but he's doing all right for himself.''
Kyle Havens on his 67-yard TD pass to Victor Cruz:
"That play was huge, psychologically for us and I think for them, too. You want the big play that will lift you up a bit, and bring them down. It was the same play we ran at Kansas State last week, when I threw an interception, but this time I threw a better ball."
Havens on his play
"They hadn't seen me play. They saw the numbers from Kansas State. That was it, so I'm sure they had their doubts. But I feel like I came out and played well tonight. The offense played well as a whole. Receivers were making plays. I think after tonight's performance, we have to give a little faith back to the fans, that everything's going to be all right without Liam. We'll live.''
Havens on connecting with his receivers:
"We didn't do anything differently this week. I know (the receivers) will make plays. They saved me on a couple tonight."
Victor Cruz on his connection with Havens:
"I just wanted to come out and just do my assignments, block when I had to block and run my routes," Cruz said. "Me and Kyle had some really good connections."
Jeromy Miles and attacking Albany early:
"That was big. Last season they came out on fire and we were kind of lackadaisical and out of shape. We worked all week on coming out with intensity from the first snap. We came out and they never really responded."
"That's a goal of ours, a second-half shutout. We try to set the tone in the first half. In the second half we try to keep that intensity."
Brandon Collier on his sack and forced fumble:
"When I hit him I kind of blacked out. I wished I had seen it sooner, I could have scooped and scored.''
