AMHERST, Mass. (AP) - Steve Baylark ran for 141 yards and two touchdowns and Jeff Krohn passed for 186 yards and two touchdowns on Saturday as Massachusetts fell behind early but came back for a 51-7 win over Central Connecticut State.

Central Connecticut (0-2) took a 7-0 lead at 10:14 of the first quarter when Mike Malone caught a 34-yard touchdown pass from Scott Dolch.

Krohn, who completed 17 of 28 passes, pulled the Minutemen even with a 3-yard scoring pass to Sean Young late in the first quarter.

Massachusetts (1-0) pulled ahead 21-7 by halftime on a 30-yard fumble recovery and return by linebacker Mike Ziccardi and a 4-yard run by Baylark.

A safety on a blocked punt out of the end zone, a 5-yard fumble return by defensive back Anton McKenzie and 17-yard touchdown pass from Krohn to Jimmie Howard made it 37-7 after three quarters.

Baylark scored on a 1-yard run and Justin Montgomery had a 7-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
